On Choosing the Tablet Computer

Before buying a tablet computer, you need to know your purpose clearly, that is what you would like the tablet computer to do. With the computer, you may surf the Internet, watch videos, listen to the music, play games, etc. Or you prefer to use some office softwares.

If you plan to use some office softwares, you had better choose software architecture X86. Most of the office softwares are developed based on X86, and the compatibility of X86 is much better than that of ARM. If you prefer to browse webpage, watch videos, listen to the music and speculate in the stock market, you should buy ARM, because it is cheaper.

You should pay attention to the thermal management as well. In case some companies may use the heat-eliminating parts that have poor qualities, you’d better experience the heat dissipation by starting it up.

You need to consider whether your computer could meet the requirement of multitasking, because some products based on ARM don’t support multiple tasks.

You need also know the capacity of your hard disk. It is not good if it is the Solid State Disk of 16G or 32G and the computer has installed the WIN-7 system. You will find that 15-19G space resource will be occupied with the new installed WIN-7 system. After a period of time, the occupied space resource will rise to 30G, which I think is inconvenient with so little capacity of hard disk.

You need to ascertain the resolution ratio, which should reach at least at 1024 * 600, so that you could browse webpages with full screen.

You should understand the battery capacity. Generally speaking, the power consumption of the X86 is between 2000-3000 Watts, while the ARM 1000 watts.

Finally, the most practical way is that you should test the product’s all functions.
