To show harmonious feeling and exquisite Maki skill, Vacheron Constantin even adopts ruthenium technique which can soften the natural rays of gold and build out delicate and graceful effects. No.2 Les Masques series

This series adopts self-made automatic movement of Vacheron Constantin, which can display time even without pointer by special design. Under drive of gear set, four small plates can respectively show hour, minute, week and date. Thus the masques can be inlayed in the centre of dial, which would be the focus of this series. Through special metallic processing technique, the color of each layer of sapphire crystal mirror would be different, the effects of which can be shockingly wonderful. Small masques seem to be at arm’s length, which are independent of watch case and guard secrets of the ancient just like silent escorts.

To endow this series different styles and features, a famous writer—Michel Butor devotes all efforts to write short poems for each style which can give the watch sound and life. The letters of poems are in spiral arrangement, which seem to be without starting and finishing point. We can see the letters only when the rays step into the watch case at special angles.
